11) Laser Engraving FAQs...

a) What can I have laser engraved?

Short answer: Almost anything!

Longer Answer: Recently we have had small projects involving dolphins to commemorate a fantastic family holiday, and a lambourghini because he just loved them! It depends on what you want, best to get in touch, ask us and we can be more specific - sometimes the more involved engravings cost a little extra (£5-£10 at most) but the quality and the uniqueness of them make it 110% worth the effort. Lots of people go for just their names, which not only looks quite professional, is also a security factor - no one can take your cue and pretend it's their's!

b) Which cues can I have laser engraving done on?

All of our cues can be laser engraved, though due to the different types, the placement of the text/image you choose can vary, though we always put it somewhere that it will look good and not get lost in patterns or colours. Each laser order is given individual attention, and while we send the form to you to fill in (after the order has been placed) if you have any questions or feel that you'd rather leave some options to our judgement (because we're more familiar and can see how things will fit best) then that's absolutely not a problem.

c) How do I place my order?

In the Cue Shop there is a section titled 'Laser Options' (on the LHS at the top) and in there is nearly all the options you need. These include UP TO 3 words, or 3+ words for messages etc, a graphics option if its a motif or piece of artwork. There is also an option to get some dedication discs done (engraved metal plates to go on a hard case with messages and a return address) OR if its a really special gift or you want to treat yourself, go for The Full Works (which includes engraving the cue, 2 discs and a case).

Please remember that the pictures are just indicative - we can engrave all our cues! Purchase the laser option which is right for you, include the cue of your choice and then as soon as we have the order, we send your Laser Engraving Form via email, which you then complete and send back. If it is better to have the engraving form sent in the post, please put this as a request during the purchase process or simply email us to say the same, and it shall be done! It's not that difficult, we promise!

d) How long does it take?

We act on laser orders as soon as we can, once we have the details we draw up the layout and send it off. We know people who get the laser orders are really keen to see them when they're finished, or as presents, so we try to get them to you asap. We keep you updated all the way, so you know when to expect it in the post, and if needs be, we can deliver to work addresses to make things easier for you - just tell us!
The longest it has taken is two weeks, due to the sheer volume we had to get engraved, and the preparation times involved - we're meticulous in everything and take the time to do things as best we can!

If you really really do need it quickly though, tell us! Average turn around is about a week, but if it's a life and death situation, we can get it to you in 3! For rush orders like this there is an added EXPRESS TREATMENT charge (sorry!) but we do promise to refund this IF we fail to get it to you in time. Last-minute presents are our speciality so don't be afraid to challenge us!

e) Can we engrave non-MoJo Cues cues?

yes, we can. Using the expertise of our engravers, we are able to mark both wood and graphite finish cues that are non-MoJo. The price is the same as the engraving for MoJo cues, and a delivery option is required for us to send them back, though you are welcome to collect them. We cannot guarantee results 100% but so far, we've had very good results and happy chappies. This is an important factor to figure into your plans for your cue, as we are happy to do our best, but it is not impossible for the engraving to come out not so well. So, if your cue is HUGELY precious or expensive, then you should think carefully, and perhaps consider Graphical Addition instead (please see the pictures in the MoJo Signature category or Sparkle category - names such as Kimberley in pink, or the Gretsch in Silver show what we mean by this). When sending your cue to the engravers we always use Special delivery services, keeping it as safe as possible. Your engraving will be fully agreed and perfected before anything is done, using mock-ups and pictures, so please don't think we disappear off and do things without your approval or go-ahead. In the event of a mistake or the cue mis-marking MoJo will give a refund or the option to have a MoJo cue instead, depending on what the laser result is. We've never had to do this, (thankfully) but we do care you're happy.
